Ring of Chaumet

Lovely Bee is the colorful collection that the firm Chaumet has created to rise awareness of the problem of the gradual disappearance of the bees, a serious environmental problem which fortunately is starting to have advocates.

"Over the past ten years, international experts have noticed a worrying decline in the number of bees and other pollinating insects.

According to Einstein's famous formula, "If bees were to disappear from the surface of the earth, Man would only have a few more years to live." In fact, more than a third of our food resources depend on the pollination of flowers by bees.

Formerly a symbol of Napoleonic power, the bee has become an emblem of love thanks to the naturalistic Attrape-moi... si tu m'aimes collection. Chaumet is pledging its allegiance to the protection of bees through its "Save the Bees" campaign.

Each item of bee jewellery from Chaumet's Attrape-moi... si tu m'aimes collection helps support the French Terre d'Abeilles association and its initiatives in favour of preserving bees and developing beehives.

Alongside the association, Chaumet also supports the Black Bee conservation programme and other initiatives that aim to revalorise the bee and thus encourage its addition to UNESCO's world heritage list."
