The spectacularity of jewelry by Lluís Duran resides in the architecture of it, the distribution of the volumes and mix of textures, beautiful pieces arising from an innate creative restlessness.

Lluís Duran's jewels are sober, elegant, beautiful ... and intriguing, mysterious whole. The regular geometry is consistently generating a tightvisual balance with textures that complement each other despite their complex disparity.

The artisan jeweler likes to mix oxidized silver with gold as if it were themost natural amalgam. And inside the unusual, but stunning result, gemstones take over providing splashes of color so evocative and striking.

Lluís Duran has his own workshop where he designs and develops his collections and from working as models for major brands of fine jewelry in Barcelona. We endorse the 35 years he has delivered to the office, but also his creative abilities.

The artist began as an apprentice in one of the many workshops for which he was throughout his career. His goal was none other than getting the highest level of assimilate knowledge and techniques that made ​​him a specialist in manufacturing today.

And there was a previous step because Lluís Duran began working brass and etched alpaca combined with buttons of jet. And from there to the markets to sell to earn a living and try to open gap in the sector. Obviously he got it but with much hard work and absolute mastery of the metal.

In 2008, Duran was awarded 1st Prize "Innovación y Diseño del JORGC Colegio de Joyeros de Cataluña".
