Cucú Ruiz found his calling as a designer-jewelry by accident. The "awakening" must have been intense for the quality of their work, a single burst of creativity, fresh and very contemporary.

Cucú Ruiz studied art history in Seville, and for once, the bureaucracy made us all a favor. The inability to collect the title that year took her to enroll in the "Metal and Silver" that organized the city of Seville with the Women's Institute.

One year later, with a degree in hand and discovered the vocation of her life, she began working, saved and went to Florence to continue her training in jewelry design. Three years remained in the Italian city where she learned enough to take off in the sector with an avant-garde and very personal style.

Cucú Joyas pieces are clearly expressive, self-sufficient and a faithful reflection of the freedom with which the designer creates. Using jewelry as a means to translate concerns and experiences seems to have been the secret of his inspiration.

The geometry is elemental in her pieces, the curves take over and the volumes play with each other skillfully. The colors appear quietly but vigorously and sinuous textures emerge at key points.

Cucú Ruiz has exhibited in Italy, Germany, UK, Portugal, Cyprus and Spain.
