Mar Dimas has chosen the name Ayla to introduce herself to the world. This young, restless ex-student of our course, proved to have a very creative vision. She is like a renaissance's woman, much more than a contemporary youth.
Who is Mar Dimas?
I am a restless girl, I don't like to dwell on the things in the routine. I change from day to day, I research on what catches my eye and most of all I love learning. My love of design had been forever in my interior, but was considered a hobby because I did not want to get tired of it. Over time I've realized that a desk job was not mine, and I finally decided to plunge into the design. I trained in fashion design and accessories, but schools do not teach it all, thanks to research I conducted my vein distance courses, and above all I learned thanks to the internet, books etc. I learned things in a self-taught and have greatly improved both the design itself ("drawing" as my friends say) and actually end up making those drawings with mixtures of materials and craft techniques.
How do you define your style? I am a girl who expresses her own personality in the day to day, never attracted me like anyone else, or someone resembling me, I've always been anti-modern and I like being different from what is considered "normal." I have no particular style, depending on my mood one day I like to design something easy shopping and selling, and another just design something that catches attention differently..
Where we can view or buy your jewels? Like everything today: online. I have a blog: http://www.aylabymar.blogspot.com/ and also I discovered a page where people from around the world share and sell their crafts: http://www.artesanum.com/
What is the best of design? Create, build and create ... everything that goes through your mind you can express from a material idea to a concrete mood. Some people write diaries, others talk endlessly of his emotional state, but a designer simply materializes its in a design.
And, what is the most difficult? Themselves known, and that everybody accept your designs. Unfortunately we live in a society where people want the things of next door neighbor, while expressing his own personality, so that alternative designs are difficult to adapt.
What are your preferences? I don't drew attention in particular no designer, there are even times to discard someone because I consider it classic, and soon I was surprised with a designer that strikes me for its contemporanity.
How or where you find your inspiration? In my dreams, shower, TV ... every moment of the day, images that go through my eyes can be used for me. Sometimes I just look up and a mere speck of dust that flies suggests to me something interesting. While it is true that what inspires me is nature, because they offered variety of shapes, colors, etc..
What will be your next step in this world? Do what I never stopped doing, researching for new and different things, experience in the design is a challenge that never ends.
