Fiz necklace (with murano glass)

Through art, Mercé Girona has achieved a unique balance in the artistic expression of her jewelry. Silver, murano and light touches of color make up the proposed by her brand (MercedesGi) for this season 2011-2012.

Mercé Girona studied Jewelry Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, where she lived twenty years. But her training is more extensive because she dominates other artistic disciplines such as sculpture and painting.

This is inevitable because Mercer has Renaissance character: she is enterprising, she likes to experiment and play with the forms, and she does not forget an innate elegance that conveys to each of her jewels.

For the 2011-2012 season, Mercé Girona has prepared the collection "The Sea Line" of jewelry (and paints), a project gestated for years from her personal experience in France.

The collection is dominated by silver tears and spherical murano glass. The color appears in subtle touches, revealing the artist's passion for painting.

In MercedesGi we can find fun jewelry, sometimes with movement due to moving parts attached. The nomadic spirit of the designer is in contrast to the calm and serene style of their jewelry while the warmth of velvet contrasts beautifully with the cold touch of glass and silver. The sensual curves emphasize a sense of freedom with the unique and personal stamp of the artist.
