Ring by Gregory Pyra

The Gregory Pyra pieces seem to be alive. With clearly organic forms, metal wraps pearls and other stones with sinuous delicacy. Pyra has its own style, very distinguishable from the rest, and perhaps therein lies the key to its success.

Gregory Pyra, like any good artist, not only adheres to jewelry, but to sculpture too; but rather as if the latter were used in the first, because their pieces have been created to be viewed and studied thoroughly. The details are part of the design so that pretty much monopolizes it. Thus, rings, bracelets, earrings ... are almost new every time you watch. This is the result of meticulous craftsmanship and extensive knowledge of materials and the possibilities they offer.

Pyra works with gold, silver, amber, pearls and other precious stones, used according to the designer's idea for each piece. The surrealist style prevails in almost the entire collection, that rather than being a line of jewelry looks like a collection to a museum room.

In the course of Gregory Pyra we can say that is not new in the industry. Already in the seventies was known internationally. In fact, in 1976 prepared jewels for the kings Gustavo and Silvia of Sweden. He has exhibited in several museums such as the Malbork Castle Museum or the Museum of Amber, both in Poland, Malbork and Gdansk respectively.

His work has been included in numerous European publications, but it is most popular in the United Kingdom and United States, where it is quite habitue to galleries and exhibitions lately. Gregory Pyra has managed to stay in business and prosper with it. Throughout his career has continued to refine its personal style and looking into new ways to realize its potential.
