Kiwis, apples or dried beets are transformed in major players of the most unusual collection, amazing and original by Cathy Wu, a real treat for the senses.
For wanting to catch the "life" printed on the fruit, the designer Cathy Wu has treated kiwis, beets, apples... until become them in the backbone of the her original jewelry collection with dried fruits. Cathy Wu was born in Dallas (Texas) and for two years she is living in Evreux (France). Her roots make her a nostalgic lover of natural things while her new home has brought her a unique chic touch. The result is very well reflected in the pieces she creates. The designer is a multidisciplinary artist with an aptitude for visual composition of harmonic and suggestive sets. When she discovered the potential of dry fruits, Cathy Wu realized that she finally had found a way to unite her two passions: food and jewelry. And while her jewelry collection with dried fruit is amazing, no less so is the rest of her work, always using moldable materials at the whim of the artist. Color also plays an important role in the jewelry of Cathy Wu. The subtlety of shades of color is significant and it's in consistent with the light and curvilinear shapes of the pieces.Noting her work is undeniable her capacity for the alloy and mixture of textures, colors and materials.
